MAC PRO LONGWEAR FOUNDATION
MAC Pro Longwear Foundation is from the new Pro Longwear Collection. From what I've heard both foundation and concealer will stay in the regular line. The foundation claims to be lightweight and long-wearing liquid foundation with medium coverage. It promises to wear up to 15 hours. The foundation has SPF of 10. It's for all skin types.
The foundation comes in a 30 ml glass bottle with a pump. I really like the fact that it comes with the pump.
I got this foundation in NC15 and I'm disappointed on the shade. Because it's quite pink, really different from Studio Fix Fluid in NC15.
I used my hands to apply this foundation for the first time. My first impressions were that it blends really nicely and doesn't feel as heavy as Studio Fix Fluid. But when the foundation dried and I went to natural light to see what it looks like, the ugly truth came out. The foundation looked a bit cakey and it was patchy on my nose. My nose was a bit dry at that time and it really brought it out. Also my face started to feel like I would have a drying clay mask on my face. So I wouldn't recommend this foundation to dry skin at all. The coverage is medium, not very buildable since it starts to look cakey. I was really wishing for more coverage.
At the first try I didn't set the foundation with powder. I must say that the foundation stayed on incredibly well without powder even though I have oily skin. I've never tried a foundation before that I wouldn't have to set. My face started to shine just a little after a few hours. It stayed on maybe 6 hours before it started melting off from my chin.
The next day I applied the foundation with a stippling brush and I feel like it gave a little bit better finish. This time I set the foundation with MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder. The foundation stayed on really well with a powder. After 8 hours it started to melt off from my chin. My chin is always the biggest problem with foundations.
The foundation photographs pretty well. I had the foundation on some of the pictures on my previous outfit post.
Over all I think that this foundation isn't worth the 30 euros. I will use this up but probably won't repurchase it. I will stick with my Revlon Color Stay. It's cheaper, looks better and stays on longer.
MAC PRO LONGWEAR CONCEALER
Pro Longwear Concealer claims to be lightweight and long-wearing liquid concealer with medium coverage. It's for all skin types.
The concealer is in a 9 ml glass container with a pump. The packaging is a disappointment because the pump isn't controlable at all. You have to press really hard for the product to come out and then way too much comes out. I'm wasting alot of product on each pump.
The concealer blends easily and it doesn't look cakey at all. I'd say it's medium buildable coverage. I especially like to use this under my eyes since it looks perfect the entire day. On my chin and around my nose it starts to melt off because I have oily skin. But I think that on normal or dry skin it will stay really well.

From top to bottom: Pro Longwear concealer in NC20, Pro Longwear Foundation in NC15, Studio Fix Fluid in NC15. I swatched Studio Fix Fluid as a comparison.

I am sorry that that you are dissapointed about the foundation. :/ Especially because it costs so much money. But i just can agree with the Relon Colorstay Foundation! I think it is a really good one and it is a real lifesaver here in finland through our cold winters.
*Hugs*

Yikes! Sounds like the foundation isn't working that well. A pink color always turns me off since I have yellow undertone. And it sounds like neither items work well with oily skin. Thanks for the review!
I hated pro longwear at first....and i really shouldn't say that!
I find applying it with a 190 brush and using the TINIEST bit and blending it in gives the best finish. If you use it like fix fluid and apply too much that's where you run into a problem and it seems to cake. You need the tiniest bit of product and build up on that. If you use it that way it'll be flawless.
I love the nc tones in pro longwear, fix is just tooo nc and sometimes needs to be toned down with an nw powder.
@Blushingloves
I really like the Color Stay, I hope you enjoy it too!

I've also tried the foundation with a regular foundation brush. But didn't work out for me so good.
Oohh, I was lemming these two but I might just try out the concealer =) since I'm in love with Revlon Colorstay myself maybe I'll just stick with Colorstay hehehe... thanks for the review!!!
